When one door closes….
It’s never the end ->
The universe always has your back…
Even if that means with different plans!

Few months ago, I felt like I was suddenly slapped in the face with an unexpected twist on this journey of human experience that put me on a different path I was projecting!

It was painfully raw, and with it came a silent time of healing, releasing, and learning! I may still have some triggered emotionality that I’m still digesting, but I’m now more accepting that there is a better path ahead for my own evolutionary growth!

When we become comfortable with situations - we also become stagnant! If we start to surround ourselves with people who also become stagnant, without prioritizing healing and growth, then our lives take a pause with them!

I didn’t know that at the time, but I sure do know now, that in order to proceed you need to accept some doors will close behind you on your way to higher elevation! With that comes the end to the human exchange - friendships, relationships, connections! As hard as it may seem at first, it’s all for the higher good!

What I learned;
🤍 patience; to wait for things to ease off on their own without the anticipation & pressure or reaction
🤍 to persist & never give up even when you are at your lowest
🤍 to keep the true value behind everything that you do at your core & lead with that always
🤍 to firmly assert your core beliefs & morals and build clear unbreakable boundaries

All human exchanges are complex, multi-layered & ultimately sensitive! So, conscious relationships are so valuable!! Keep these the closest; those who
🤍 always support you
🤍 always uplift you &
🤍 never at any point use you to their advantage or downgrade you for their insecurities & unmet needs

Change is tough but also really needed!
Don’t ever forget, that in order to proceed sometimes doors need to close - but let that not scare you off from taking a leap of faith for that new door to open 🚪

My Non-Negotiables ✨

Something I had to re-evaluate & rephrase over the last few years in my self, while securing what that really meant for me!!

This should be 100% crystal clear within yourself that radiates outwardly - for me personally, I have Zero Tolerance for;

1) Drinking, Smoking & Drugs
2) Hot Yoga, Cold Plunges & Diets
3) Unconscious Relationships
4) Materialistic Consumerism
5) Time Wasting

I really don’t mind if my viewpoint is unpopular!!
I really am not seeking to be accepted for someone else’s judgmental perception of my actions or their lack of resonance or understanding! I don’t expect them too! I know who I truly am at the deepest level & I also know my true potential that others may not!!

Maladaptive behaviors that lead to self-sabotaging reactions & fears that block us from proceeding are one of the most common reasons why people are;
a) unhappy in their lives
b) envy others & judge
c) diminish themselves or others &
d) stay small

Only 33% of Americans say they are happy according to recent research ♥

The World Happiness Report reported that Denmark, Switzerland, Iceland, and Norway hold the top slots as the world’s happiest countries. My curiosity struck when I came across this & as an inquisitive person thought 𝓌𝒽𝓎 ???

My answer = 𝙰𝙲𝙲𝙴𝙿𝚃𝙰𝙽𝙲𝙴

When we learn to accept who we are, where we are at and what we have going on for our lives in that moment then we create a potential for inner harmony which then reflects as peace. 85% of people who said they often feel a sense of inner peace and well-being also reported a high degree of happiness!

So the key…𝓈𝓊𝓇𝓇ℯ𝓃𝒹ℯ𝓇 & 𝒻𝒾𝓃𝒹 𝓎ℴ𝓊𝓇 𝓅ℯ𝒶𝒸ℯ!!

About a year ago I was in a very low state - my father had just passed away, and I felt universally attacked! I started to feel as if I didn’t have any joy in my psychoemotional and biological being left. I felt all the feelings of victimhood, subconscious attack, unfairness & disappointment with the general universe!! I especially hit a crisis last December where I had what seemed a mental breakdown! It was in that moment the epitome of mindset shift! I knew that I had some internal hormonal & biological imbalances going on due to the lack of joy I felt - but I decided to make a shift! To surrender, stop holding on, stop controlling & fighting on! The moment I did that a wave of 𝙰𝙲𝙲𝙴𝙿𝚃𝙰𝙽𝙲𝙴 came knocking in! And just like that I found again my inner peace that I once lost 𖣔

It’s not enough to fill your life with things or experiences that you think will bring you that joy & peace you’re seeking. You truly have to look within and take the brave risk to do the inner work when it’s calling you!!! It’s not easy…I know, trust me!!! But when you do - Oh! It’s so rewarding!!!

So…work on 𝙰𝙲𝙲𝙴𝙿𝚃𝙰𝙽𝙲𝙴
and everything else will fall in place in time ♥

It takes just 1/10th of a second for people to judge someone or something within that initial first impression! In return, this affects the way we treat, act or even react towards them!

In that case, we dismiss the opportunity to look beyond surface appearances and personal initial encounters which stops us from investing any effort or time in understanding or finding the beauty in what we might have otherwise ignored or discarded.

Because of this, the most common issue you find in our society today is a lack of;
❌ commitment
❌ consistency &
❌ compassionate patience

We are seeking quick fixes, results and changes without the personal investment! We seek immediate answers without curiously unraveling our questions!
We want solutions when we don’t even truly understand the root or “why”s behind our problems!

As I tell my kiddos often;
“It is perfectly ok to be discomforted”

🔥 Discomfort = Growth

There is no lotus than can grow without some mud, and in the same way as weeds can uncontrollably grow wherever they please, all they lack is some direction in order to grow where they are meant to; to help them flourish and bloom into what they were always meant to be; flowers!

As I travel back home to Malta and visit my family home, I can’t help but feel very connected to my own Young Maiden; the teen years I spent living there! My memories evoke an essence of playful spirit, curiosity and fun!

Carl Jung described the Young Maiden; “Kore” (Greek word meaning; daughter), as the epitome of feminine innocence, often appearing as a young girl. In Greek Mythology, she is represented by Persephone, daughter of Zeus and Demeter, known as the Goddess of the Underworld (wife of Hades) and bringer of death. She also symbolizes immortality and springtime.

The Young Maiden is highly sensitive and empathetic and strongly believes in the good in people. She has high levels of optimism and faith, as well as moves through life with highly receptive, intuitive and curious calling. She can be fertile soil for personal growth, especially when challenged.

- sit comfortably in a cross-legged position
- lengthen through your spine
- exhale all the breath out
- as you expand your lower belly, take rapid short & sharp breaths out of your nose & naturally inhale
- keep your belly relaxed & diaphragm engaged
- close your eyes & concentrate on the thing you are manifesting while breathing
- repeat for 30 counts & build up to 1 min then 3 mins
- reaffirm through your affirmation as you come back to your natural breath

Have you ever wondered why that shoulder or lower back or even upper hip always hurts just a little more when you’re under pressure and stress??

Psycho-somatic pain is a true feeling of discomfort and hurt associated with triggers and past traumatic memories! When heavy emotions such as grief, loss, fear, anxiety and anger are suppressed, they manifest into bodily expressions! The longer the suppression = the deeper the chronic pain!

From a salutogenic trauma-informed energetics and somatics point of view, the “cure” or recovery for this is a strengths-based philosophy focusing on one’s overall wellness, rather than disease focusing factors!

E-motions are energy in motion and when trapped in the psycho-emotional layer they become unexpressed and suppressed. Therefore, the key here becomes movement and somatic/energetic release through nervous system regulation! In this manner you can help release your burdens and prepare for a resilient future with appropriate tools and resources!

1. Take a deep breath in as you align your hands by your chest, elbows parallel right under
2. Exhale and lift into sphinx, bringing your elbows right under your shoulders and keeping hands parallel to the elbows with your palms flat on the mat, as you gaze ahead
3. Press left hand to the top of the left side of your mat, press the right hand to the tip of the right side of your mat as you externally rotate your biceps and lift the chest up. Release the head back if it feels good.
4. Reverse your steps back to laying prone position on your belly and repeat on the other side.
5. Repeat the sequence several times.

With a new year comes new intentions 💫
Manifesting can become a very big part of putting your vision into a purposeful drive forward! But in order to do so, simply hyper fixating on what it is you want to achieve like a one-way tunnel vision path, is not enough!!! 2. Construct A Plan: Bring your journal and write down what are a few things you need to do to start bringing your vision into a tangible reality. Write all the practical steps you need to take.

3. Take Action: Every day before bedtime prep your alarm clocks to a time frame you’d like to get your actions on your plan done by. Eg: I like to exercise in the morning, I put my alarm clock for 8am & give myself leniency to get it done by at least 10am (so I snooze my alarm clock until I get it done).

4. Surrender Expectations: Rather than creating very strict parameters for your manifestation journey with high expectations, learn to surrender these attachments and instead co-create with the universe. Intuitively listen to the flow of energy that is guiding you along the right path: less thinking & analyzing, more doing, sensing, listening & trusting! Write a list of your potential expectations on a piece of paper and surrender them into a bowl of water. When you do that allow yourself to feel a little lighter, more at peace with yourself and open to the endless possibilities that lie ahead.

5. Trust the flow: Trusting takes plenty of courage, confidence and release. Rather than putting pressure on yourself to achieve your goals in a certain way at a certain time, instead open yourself up to fluidity & flow - trusting that it’ll all turn out as it should. If you think that everything is flowing in your favor, and that the universe has your back (great time to practice these as an affirmation), then there is nothing to fear or hold you back!

This “New Year” is a commercialized transition of what we technically celebrate in the Spring Equinox as the Aries Season and first zodiac sign, which represents the element of fire and illumination. So if you don’t feel this systematic motivation for the New Year’s intentions it is perfectly ok. We are in the middle of Kapha Season and the Winter Solstice; a time for rest, reflection, contemplation. We are in Capricorn Season; an earth sign representing discipline and ambition. A great time to start laying out, preparing and setting the tone of what you want to bring forth however no need to rush to take action and get things done right away. Take your time making decisions and all will fall in place….

This full cold moon (26th Dec) in Cancer is a time to explore the connection between our heart & mind. Though it may trigger some heavy feelings, it is a great time to reflect back & start working on healing those wounds! It is also a good time to speak your truth, look for cyclical closure, re-evaluate your surroundings, energy & choices while working for a clear path on your future goals!

It’s perfectly ok if you feel overwhelmed & stimulated this holiday season!! It is also perfectly ok if you’re going through some form of grief & loss this season and you’re not feeling the holiday spirit! It can be very triggering!

Here are a few things you can do to avoid the holiday blues and ground yourself in presence instead;
• go for a nature walk
• take 4 deep diaphragmatic breaths
• practice some tapping (EFT); tap the crown of your head to help release anxiety, overthinking, analyzing & over stimulation
• listening to a song you enjoy; sing along or dance (help express the heavy weighted emotions)
• get your body moving; move your spine in the 6 directions it is meant to move daily (forward & backwards, side to side and twisting on each side) - shaking is a great technique too!

The key to presence and coming to the “neutral mind” is soothing the nervous system! Let go of expectations this season and just do you!!!!

Here are my Top Tips that I share with all my clients & work closely to adapt them;

The Nervous System is the seat to your overall wellness 🤍

The nervous system uses electrical and chemical means to help all parts of the body to communicate with each other. The brain and spinal cord make up the central nervous system, while the vagal nerves carry signals between your brain, heart and digestive system; all of which are a key part of your overall functioning!!

Thus, the vagus nerve is an essential part of the brain–gut axis and plays an important role in the
~ modulation of inflammation
~ maintenance of intestinal homeostasis and
~ regulation of food intake, satiety, and energy homeostasis

So, it’s not by accident that when we care for our nervous system the rest of our systems function better together! Nervous system resetting is a very big emphasis of what I do; personally & professionally with my clients. It is the necessary support to all other underlying healing work especially trauma informed support work!

These are my top tips to help nourish the nervous system - I’d recommend to do these daily for maintenance and a more heightened attention for active healing!
